Green Beans, Carrots, and Ginger


2 T oil
½ tsp salt
1 lb green beans
1 ½ C carrots, in chunks
1 T sugar
3 T parsley
1 T ginger root
½ minced hot wax pepper

Put 1 C water in oil and salt in skillet. Boil: add beans and carrots: boil 5 min (you want 2-3 T water left). Add sugar, parsely, ginger, and pepper. Cook ½ min over medium flame, stirring and boiling off remaining water.
