Herbed Asparagus with Parmesan

Servings:

2 lb asparagus
4 T butter, unsalted, room temperature
1 T fresh parsley
1 T fresh chives
1 T dill
1 T chopped fresh rosemary
1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
4 oz Parmesan cheese in 1 piece

Bring large pot of water to boil. Add asparagus. Simmer until tender. Drain and pat dry. Combine butter, chopped herbs, and pepper in small bowl. Blend. Just before serving, melt herb butter in large heavy skillet. Add asparagus and heat through, about 2 min. Transfer asparagus to warmed serving platter and shave Parmesan over it. Serve immediately.
